Tim has struggled to recover (Picture: ITV)
Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) attempted to put a stop to Stephen Reid’s (Todd Boyce) funeral in Wednesday’s (October 25) Coronation Street, but it ended with him breaking down over how much he’s struggling.
The beloved character has been experiencing flashbacks ever since Stephen attacked and left him to die in the boot of his car. Up until tonight, Tim chose to not tell anyone about his mental health and tried to carry on as normal.
This ended up putting Beth (Lisa George) in danger, as Tim almost drove into an oncoming car when he started falling asleep while driving.
Tim’s emotions continued to increase as he decided to try and prevent Stephen’s funeral going ahead. He got into his taxi and drove in front of George’s (Tony Maudsley) car, snapped the key and then refused to move.

Sarah (Tina O’Brien), Audrey (Sue Nicholls) and Gail (Helen Worth) called Kevin (Michael Le Vell) for help, but Tim got angry and sent his mate away.
Fortunately, Sally (Sally Dynevor) arrived and was successful in getting Tim to move, but the ordeal left Gail certain she shouldn’t attend the funeral of her serial killer brother.
Over a cup of tea with Sal, Gail changed her mind and decided she should go after all and support Audrey.

While Sally drove her, Steve (Simon Gregson) had received a notifcation from the Weatherfield Gazette, showing a picture of Sally and Gail outside the crematorium.
Devastated, Tim returned home and confronted Sally, telling her it looks like she’s prioritising a murderer over him.
