Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) is about to find himself being tested as he clashes with newcomer Bobby (Jack Carroll) in Coronation Street.
Bobby arrived in Weatherfield over Christmas. Shortly after Peter’s (Chris Gascoyne) departure, Carla (Alison King) was given a huge shock when Bobby entered her flat and revealed he’s Rob Donovan’s son, making him her nephew.
The new face is cheeky and sarcastic and has landed himself in trouble a few times already, much to Carla’s annoyance.
Coming up, Bobby enjoys winding Simon up in the factory, but it isn’t long until Carla orders them back to work.

Later, Carla tells Simon and Bobby that she wants them to meet in the Bistro for team bonding and the first round is on her.
As the week continues, Bobby takes Lauren (Cait Fitton) for a drink and later he confidently tells Carla and Simon that while she only wants to be mates now, that’ll soon change.

The trouble continues for Simon as he then admits to Bobby he threw a sickie, went on an all-day bender with his mates and now has a terrible hangover. When Simon returns late to work, Beth (Lisa George) points out that he’s probably getting special treatment from Carla because he’s Peter’s son.

Previously, following the announcement of his departure, a source said Alex Bain is sad but excited about what the future holds after the ITV soap.
