Bernie arrived back and chased Linda out! (Picture: ITV / REX)
Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) finally returned to Coronation Street in recent scenes as she was released from prison.
Her return was about as chaotic as you would expect, with Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) organising a surprise party for her in the Rovers.
Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) had the job of getting her there, and his hard work paid off when she caught sight of all her friends and family gathered around.
However, it wasn’t all joyous, as she soon learnt all about Linda Hancock’s (Jacqueline Leonard) arrival and attempt to contact a custody solicitor over Joseph and the quads.
This discovery really put a dampener on her mood, and soon she headed over to see Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) and have it out with Linda herself.

As she arrived, she immediately piled the pressure onto Linda, forcing her to explain herself.
Linda insisted that she had just wanted to get a perspective on the legal side of things, but Bernie wasn’t convinced.
Determined not to let Linda interfere in Gemma and the kids’ lives, she announced that she was moving back in, and that Linda would have no choice but to go elsewhere.

Linda was quick to assure Chesney that she would be booking a hotel for the night, before heading upstairs to pack.
With Linda gone, Chesney told Bernie he would go and pick up the quads, but she stopped him, insisting that she would do it herself, before urging Chesney to try and save his marriage.
With so much tension within the family, will things ever get back to the way they were?
