Ryan Connor’s (Ryan Prescott) addiction to steroids starts to seriously impact his life in Coronation Street as he collapses while on a run.
The beloved character has taken to buying steroids in secret as he battles with low self-confidence. The drugs change how Ryan looks physically, which has allowed him to believe that’ll help how he feels mentally.
Ryan’s focus has shifted dramatically in the aftermath of his acid attack. He is now developing a secret social media account, taking pictures of his body and receiving many likes and followers in the process.

Coming up, Ryan pulls out a box of steroids from under his bed but discovers that the vials have leaked everywhere.
Pointing out that he barely leaves his room these days, Carla (Alison King) urges him to go out and meet Alya (Sair Khan) for lunch.
Towards the end of the week, Ryan’s emotions are tested again when he enters his bedroom clutching a needle and finds Carla making his bed.
He hides the needle in his hand and tries to keep a lid on his temper but as soon as Carla leaves, he punches the wardrobe in anger.
Later on, as Ryan returns from a run, he starts to experience heart palpitations.
Will Ryan tell Gary? (Picture: ITV)
Just as his legs give way, Gary (Mikey North) rushes over and helps Ryan by telling him to take deep breaths.
Clocking Ryan’s energy drink, Gary asks him if he’s taken anything else in addition to it, but what will he say?
‘I think that’s the last thing he’s thinking about’, Ryan Prescott said, wondering whether Ryan has thought of the risks involving the drugs.
