Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) got revenge on Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) in Friday’s (December 8) episode of Coronation Street – and he’s got absolutely no idea.
This week, Daniel finally discovered the truth about Ryan and Daisy’s (Charlotte Jordan) feelings for each other, and that they slept together.
Daniel learnt of their secret after some sly work from Simon (Alex Bain), who wondered why Daniel wasn’t planning revenge in tonight’s episode.
Daniel quietly explained to Simon that he had moved past it and wanted him to do the same.

Except he hadn’t.
The thing about Daniel is that he’s clever and cunning. He isn’t the sort of person to get revenge by throwing a drink over Ryan or having a fight in the street Eileen (Sue Cleaver) and Gail (Helen Worth) style – he was going to do something smart and unexpected.

Aware that Ryan had been offered a new job, Daniel headed over to the gym and spoke to a member of staff, fully prepared to destroy Ryan’s reputation.
In the Bistro, as Ryan shared drinks with Carla (Alison King) and Debbie (Sue Devaney) he then received a notification from the gym, informing him that he doesn’t have the job after all.
Poor Ryan was gutted. That evening, Daisy and Daniel learnt what had happened when they found him in Victoria Garden.

Daniel then suggested to Ryan that the development could’ve been a sign that he should take the DJ job in Glasgow instead.
Later, at Speed Daal, Ryan met up with Crystal and said that he needs a new start and would like to come to Glasgow with her after all.

As they celebrated, Ryan and Crystal remained unaware Daniel was listening in on their conversation.
