Coronation Street spoilers: Danger as bullied Dylan sells vapes to young child Hope

Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) has already shown that he’s seriously bad news in Coronation Street – especially for Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne).

Dylan has been befriended – or, it seems, targeted – by Mason since his arrival at the school. Mason, who actor Luca Toolan described as a ‘very angry and disturbed soul’ has singled out the less confident boy, whose recent move to Weatherfield has made him vulnerable and easily influenced by someone he sees as being cool.

As we head into a new week in Weatherfield, Dylan is already in trouble with Mason as he owes him money after a bet. When he refused to pay up, Mason dumped the papers from Dylan’s paper round into a puddle, resulting in Dylan getting fired by Brian (Peter Gunn).

As Dylan worries about how he’s going to give Mason the money he’s demanding, especially now he has no job, Mason comes up with a plan.

Mason wants to sell vapes to the other kids at school, but knowing he could get into trouble for it he gets Dylan to do his dirty work for him.

Unlike Mason, Dylan has some moral scruples and draws the line at selling the vapes to the younger kids. When Hope (Isabella Flanagan) tries to buy one he points out she’s only 12 – but Mason isn’t bothered by that and insists that Dylan should sell Hope the vape.

This leads to huge trouble for Dylan, as Hope soon reveals to Sean (Antony Cotton) what his son’s been up to. Sean angrily demands to know what Dylan was thinking selling vapes to children and disposes of the remaining vapes when he finds them hidden at the house.

Sean knows deep down that it’s not something Dylan would do without being coerced into it and wants to know who’s behind it. A terrified Dylan refuses to mention Mason’s name but Sean guesses anyway and threatens to call the police.

Dylan does a runner, but it’s not long before he has to face Mason who’s furious to hear that the remaining vapes are gone.

He turns his attention to a new income stream, demanding that Dylan hand over the designer trainers that Sean bought for him. Dylan knows that Sean had to sell some of his own stuff to afford them – will he do as Mason asks?
