Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths) offers Ed Bailey (Trevor Michael Georges) a lifeline in upcoming Coronation Street episodes – but could it be Damon who ends up with the most to lose after he hands cash over to gambling addict Ed?
With Ed’s finances a complete disaster zone after his gambling addiction once again got out of hand in the months leading up to Christmas, eventually in desperation he even resorted to pawning his family’s Christmas presents after pretending they’d been burgled.
After discovering this Michael (Ryan Russell) washed his hands of his dad, but Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) has stood by Ed and tried to maintain peace within the family.

In upcoming episodes, with Ed preparing to sell the builders’ yard to pay off his debts, a glimmer of hope appears in the unlikely form of Damon Hay.
Damon offers Ed a job renovating a bar, saying that he’s getting his money out of the Bistro and can pay Ed to do the work before the builders’ yard is sold.

Dee-Dee cautions her dad not to get involved with Damon, as she knows only too well that Damon has been involved in a lot of criminal activity and isn’t to be trusted. And she doesn’t even know the half of it, with viewers having recently seen Damon getting Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) kidnapped before backing down and deciding not to kill him.
