Asha makes a decision against Aaron for Amy’s sake (Picture: ITV)
Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) made a big decision for Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) in Coronation Street, as they began planning Nina Lucas’ (Mollie Gallagher) 21st birthday party.
As Asha instructs Amy on what food to sort out, Amy is curious to know who is on the guest list, and is relieved when Asha says that she has only invited her and brother Aadi (Adam Hussain) so far.
Asha soon clocked Amy’s relief, and promised that she won’t invite Aaron Sandford (James Craven), even when Amy insisted that it would be fine if she did.
Things have been difficult for Amy following a harrowing ordeal which saw her raped by Aaron while she was passed out.
Though she reported him to the police, charges against him were dropped due to lack of evidence, causing Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) to take a stand.
This only brought unwanted attention to Amy’s door, leading her to withdraw her complaint, insisting that she had got the situation wrong, despite still being badly effected by what had happened.
With Asha determined to keep her promise to Amy, she was left concerned when Aaron overheard a conversation about the party and was subsequently invited by Aadi.

She later sought him out, the issue still clearly playing on her mind, and uninvited him from the party, under the guise that it would be awkward with Amy and Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) there.
However, it soon became clear that there was more to it than that, as Asha sat down in the pub with her brother and admitted that she was concerned that Aaron actually had raped Amy.
