Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) has been spending a lot of time with work colleague Isla in Coronation Street, which has left girlfriend Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) feeling pushed aside.
In an attempt to spend more time together, Asha invited Nina for lunch with her, Isla and their work colleague, which Nina agreed to.
While waiting for Nina to arrive, Asha’s workmates began asking about her, and, wanting to impress them, Asha exaggerated what Nina did for a living by telling them that she was a fashion designer.
When Nina overheard this, she was quick to correct her, leaving Asha feeling embarrassed.
Hurt that Asha would lie about her so easily, Nina changed her mind and headed back to the café, leaving the trio of paramedics in an awkward silence.

Later, Asha apologised to Nina, explaining that she just wanted to impress her new mates, but when Nina pointed out that that implied she was ashamed of her girlfriend working in a café, Asha insisted that that wasn’t the case.
When Nina accused her of fancying Isla, Asha denied it, and later told Nina that she would stop socialising with Isla outside of work if it made her so unhappy.

Nina insisted that she didn’t want her to do that, and that she trusted her and had no reason to be jealous.
The pair kissed and made up, but their is still heartbreak around the corner…
In upcoming episodes, Isla will admit that she has feelings for Asha and recommend that she switch mentors. Asha remains upbeat as she tells Nina, but how will she react?
