Time has very nearly ran out for Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) in Coronation Street and this new video shows the moment Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) and Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) realise they’re at risk of becoming his next victims.
The last we saw of Stephen, he had returned to the cobbles after having his plan to escape the country destroyed. He got as far as the check-in desk but when he presented the folder that had his passport in, the assistant handed it back, allowing Stephen to realise that someone had taken the passport to delay him leaving.
Elsewhere, Sally (Sally Dynevor) and Kevin (Michael Le Vell) began a search for Tim (Joe Duttine). Sally remains unaware that Tim has been fighing for his life in the boot of his taxi after being attacked by Stephen, and is desperately trying to find out more regarding her husband’s final movements.
In this new video, Jenny and Sarah are chatting in the pub, which is currently closed after Waterfords took over.

It becomes apparent they’re inside because Dylan (Liam McCheyne) and Mason (Luca Toolan) broke in.
The conversation then turns to Stephen. Sarah is curious to know how Jenny is feeling in the aftermath of all the discoveries but when she mentions Stephen being a murderer, we realise Jenny had no idea about that part.

After spending days believing Stephen just committed crimes surrounding money, Jenny is utterly horrified.
In a panic, Jenny starts to question whether Stephen could’ve killed Leo after learning he murdered Teddy.
Sarah tries to calm her down and mentions that she came into the pub after seeing Jenny upstairs.

Processing what she’s just said, Jenny then breaks the news that she’s been in the bar the whole time – meaning someone else is upstairs.
Sarah and Jenny rush out, but with new pictures showing the moment Stephen attacks Sarah and holds a broken glass near Jenny, will they survive before he leaves forever?

‘I think it will be satisfying with the audience,’ Todd Boyce told Metro.co.uk, discussing Stephen’s final moments. ‘It’s hard to talk about without giving away too much detail but I think the audience will be pleased with it.
‘I hope people who have sense of who Stephen is, even if they don’t watch every episode [of Corrie], start tuning in now because it’s a fantastic Super Soap Week – it’s a different Super Soap Week. It’s thriller-esque.’
