Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell) is backed into a corner in Coronation Street soon as he continues to deal with the aftermath of Stephen Reid’s (Todd Boyce) actions.
Before Stephen was killed by Peter (Chris Gascoyne), he planned to leave Weatherfield for a new life in Thailand – which meant getting his hands on more money.
Stephen then tricked Michael into giving him the details of the Underworld business account, meaning he could transfer all of the funds into a bogus one he had set up.

Because Michael has said he wasn’t threatened by Stephen into handing over the information, DS Swain (Vicky Myers) must now establish whether Michael is telling the truth, or lying because he was part of Stephen’s plan.
This new video focuses on the moment where Michael says he isn’t a liar, and wasn’t given any cash as part of the plot.
Swain then asks for electrical devices for forensics and just as Michael reaches for his laptop, the detective realises there is an awful lot of money in his bag.

Swain asks where it’s come from, but what will Michael say?
The money actually belongs to Ed (Trevor Michael Georges), who wins £1k on a bet prior to these scenes.

He then returns home and stuffs the cash in a bag so Michael and Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) don’t find out, but Michael ends up grabbing the bag before his leaves for the factory to try and get his job back.
DS Swain will also arrest Michael, but will Ed reveal his gambling addiction so his son doesn’t spend time behind bars?
