Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) is about to be given some devastating news in Coronation Street.
Following his motor neurone disease diagnosis, Paul has been focused on embracing every moment he has left with his family.
From a holiday with Billy (Daniel Brocklebank) to getting married in the Bistro (and a church!), Paul has experienced a lot of happiness over the past few months – but it’s all been tinged with sadness of course, given the MND will shorten his life.
In upcoming episodes, Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) goes with Paul to his latest speech therapy session.

There, Paul expresses his worry about his recent coughing fits – and Bernie notices the look of concern on the speech therapist’s face as she tells Paul he needs to see a MND nurse.
Joined by Billy, Bernie and Paul listen as the nurse talks about the Personal Independence Payment that Paul has applied for.

She explains she can put a form through that’ll fast track the benefits, increasing Paul’s chance of buying equipment that’ll help him feel more comfortable when sleeping.
While Bernie is pleased, Paul focuses on the form the nurse will fill out.
