Eileen was back on our screens (Picture: ITV)
Viewers got a nice surprise in recent Coronation Street scenes when Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) made an unexpected appearance for the first time in a while.
Eileen was last seen on the show back in August, when she was trying to repair the relationship between George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) and Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce).
George and Todd’s working relationship had begun to crumble when George refused to offer Todd a pay rise, leading him to accept a job elsewhere.
Now in deep water and understaffed, George told Eileen he thought she would make a good undertaker, a role she declined to take on.

In tonight’s (November 24) episode, Eileen made a sudden reappearance during scenes which saw Peter Barlow (Chris Gasgoyne) attack Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne).
Liam had stolen a box of vapes which Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) had planned to sell, and Peter was determined to track down the culprit. After being pointed in the direction of Dylan and friend Mason (Luca Toolan), Peter went to confront them.

They continued to stick up for Dylan as Peter accused him of theft, warning him to let him go.
As Dylan insisted that he only sold one vape that he had left over, he continued to protest his innocence, with Eileen insisting that she believed him.
Of course, viewers know that Dylan was responsible for the crime, but will Eileen ever find that out?
