Coronation Street Christmas spoilers: Adam ‘killed’ in murder horror as Damon exacts brutal revenge

Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) lands in serious trouble as the new year begins in Coronation Street as Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths) finally returns.

Earlier this year, Adam was successful in scaring Damon away from the cobbles.

His attempt at revenge came after he learnt Damon and Sarah (Tina O’Brien) had slept together, and believed getting Damon out of the picture would prevent his and Sarah’s marriage from being destroyed.

Once Damon left, Sarah’s lies spiralled. Ultimately, Adam told Sarah they could no longer be together after she allowed him to believe he was the father of her baby, despite knowing it was actually Damon.

Even though they’ve been through so much, upcoming episodes will see Adam and Sarah accept they still fancy each other while they share a drink in the Bistro.

As 2024 begins, Adam finds Sarah and assures her that he’s feeling a lot better after his panic attack.

Sarah suggests they meet for a drink and a hopeful Adam thinks this could be a new start for them.

In the pub, Sarah googles panic attacks and tells Adam they’re going to tackle his anxiety together.

When they get outside, just as Adam and Sarah say goodbye to each other, neither of them notice Damon watching from across the street.

As Adam heads for his office, a man follows him in a van.

A little while later, Adam then finds himself tied up in the back of the van – but will he be able to escape Damon’s revenge?

And how will Sarah react to Damon being back?
