Coronation Street lines up Christmas outings that fans of the ITV soap won’t be likely to forget, with shock exits, huge revelations and big news on the cards.
The festive week is not without some sadness, with Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) set to depart the eponymous street after 23 years, which leads to many an emotional scene with Carla Connor (Alison King), one of which we’ve got for you below.
In addition to saying goodbye to her one true love, Carla also receives quite a shock when a long-lost relative shows up on her doorstep, revealing his identity.
Over at the Baileys, there is sadness too, with Ed (Trevor Michael Georges) feeling guilty over the burglary while at the Kabin, Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) and Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) receive huge news.
News which, in a soap rarity, leads to tears of joy.
