Conti Cup: Manchester City vs Chelsea in League Cup semi-finals
Chelsea will travel to Manchester tonight as they face City at the Joie Stadium in the latest of the semi-finals.
The winner will face Arsenal in the final of the League Cup.
Chelsea and Man City are the top two in the WSL this season, having been in fine form for much campaign.
The last time the two teams met was less than three weeks ago, with City ending Chelsea’s 22-match unbeaten home run after securing a 1-0 win.
City’s WSL win over Chelsea saw them take top spot and Gareth Taylor’s team will be hoping to face a wounded Chelsea.
The Blues remain in the running for all four trophies: WSL, League Cup, FA Cup and Champions League. If they can secure all four titles they’ll become the only English side other than Arsenal to achieve the Quadruple.
City still have three trophies up for grabs and boss Gareth Taylor said it is all to play for.
“We could come out with one, a couple, three, or nothing,” he said.
“My way won’t change. My feeling won’t change about what we are able to achieve.”
