Conor Maynard has announced he is engaged a few weeks after it was confirmed he was not the father of Charlotte Chilton’s baby.
Over the past year the influencer and musician, 32, has been embroiled in a paternity drama with The Traitors star, also 32.
Just before giving birth to her daughter Penelope in October, Charlotte publicly revealed Conor as the father, explaining they’d been introduced by her castmate Harry Clark, who was dating Conor’s younger sister, Anna.
However, in March he went on to announce that a paternity test confirmed he was not Penelope’s father, with a second taken last month putting an end to the speculation.
A month on, Conor has now revealed he has proposed to his girlfriend Kitty Bertrand, who he was first linked to around the same time that Charlotte claimed he was the father of her unborn child.
Conor has largely kept his relationship out of the spotlight but did share that they’d moved in together in March.

However, on Saturday night he announced he recently got down on one knee.
‘Happy Birthday to my FIANCÉE!!! 🍀🌙🐶 I’m ready to take on forever with you,’ he posted on Instagram, alongside a photo kissing Kitty’s cheek, while she smiled at the camera and held up her hand, showing off her ring.

The couple were quickly flooded with a stream of congratulatory messages from friends, family and fans.
His sister Anna commented: ‘The best day ever.’ His brother Jack Maynard shared: ‘Woohoo!! Congratulations.’
Content creator Caspar Lee wrote, ‘Congratssssss’, while his wife Ambar added: ‘OMG congratulations guys!!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️.’
His news comes not long after Charlotte conceded her 18-month fight to prove Conor was her daughter’s father was over.

When the results of the first paternity test were revealed, Conor shared a statement online, which read: ‘I am glad that the speculation can finally be put to an end.
‘All I would ask is that people act with kindness in response to this news – there is a child at the heart of all of this, and that should not be forgotten. I wish Charlotte and her family all the best.’
He then shared the following on August 22: ‘Today I received the results of a second paternity test, which was requested by Charlotte regarding her baby girl, Penelope.
‘As with the last test, this test has confirmed again that I am not Penelope’s father.
‘As Charlotte requested, Penelope’s, Charlotte’s and my DNA were all taken at a Ministry of Justice accredited DNA testing facility that was selected by Charlotte. The results are therefore conclusive.
‘This has been difficult for me and my family, and I’m so grateful for everyone’s support. I’m glad we can now finally draw a line under this.’

He concluded: ‘I sincerely hope these results mean we can all find a way to move on with our lives. Conor.’
Meanwhile, in a statement, Charlotte’s representative thanked their ‘rockstar’ legal advisors, adding: ‘For those of you who have followed Charlotte’s journey since her appearance on BBC’s The Traitors, will know she has fought an extraordinary battle for truth and justice with heartfelt conviction.
‘We are forever grateful to everyone who has shown unwavering love and support to Charlotte over the past 12 months.
‘Charlotte will now take time to process, heal and reflect and when she is ready, she will finally share her story in full.’
