Comic Relief is back! Also known as Red Nose Day, it will be on our screens on Friday, March 17, 2023 with plenty of mayhem and moving moments aimed at raising funds to fight child poverty.

Broadcast live from Media City, Salford, from 7pm, highlights in the three-hour fundraiser include a spoof of The Traitors featuring Dawn French, Jennifer Saunders and Mary Berry, plus Kylie Minogue in a special episode of Ghosts.

There’s a parody of Love Island, too. And Blue Peter gets a red makeover for the first time in its 65-year history. Plus, Blackadder returns 20 years on from his last appearance.

This year has a brand new Red Nose is specially designed by Sir Jony Ive, the former Apple whizz who brought us the iPhone, iPod and iMac. It folds flat so you can carry it easily, and opens out in a cute honeycomb globe.

Comic Relief says the flat design also makes it more efficient to package and post, and means it can contain almost all recyclable, plant-based materials.

So where can you get your hands on one of the new Red Noses, and what other fabulous merch is on offer?

Here’s what you need to know.

Where can you buy a red nose for Comic Relief 2023?

This year, Comic Relief has partnered with Amazon.

To order a red nose, you can buy one direct from the Comic Relief shop, or via Amazon’s special Comic Relief page.

You can also buy in person at Amazon Fresh stores.

Schools can find out about ordering large quantities here.

But that’s not the only nose off offer.

There’s a glorious ‘nose that grows’ which is 100% compostable and you can plant when you’ve finished with it, when it will bloom into wild flowers. It’s sold out online but you might be able to get one from Homebase.

Characters from the Mr Men and Little Miss books put in an appearance for Red Nose Day on T-shirts and sweatshirts.

There’s lots of colours and characters to choose from, for adults and kids, and though some are sold out online, you can also try TK Maxx stores.

There’s also a T-shirt designed by Gok Wan – some sizes are available online, and like all the T-shirts, at least £5 of the £12.99 price goes to Comic Relief.

Schools can also order Red Nose Day stickers.

And the TK Maxx comic relief site has lots of other options, including Mr Men and Little Miss water bottles and aprons.

Last year’s event raised an incredible £42,790,147 and even though there’s a cost of living crisis, organisers are hoping that those who can, will give and help to end poverty in children and young people.
