Coleen Nolan strongly agrees with James Corden being banned from restaurant over ‘rude behaviour’

Coleen Nolan strongly agrees with James Corden being banned from a restaurant over ‘rude behaviour’.

The Loose Women presenter made the comments on today’s episode of the show when the panel was discussing reports that The Late Late Show host had been abusive to staff at a New York restaurant.

After apparently receiving the wrong food order at Balthazar restaurant, its owner Keith McNally said that Corden demanded two rounds of free drinks to make up for the mix-up.

Following the outburst, Corden was banned by McNally after the restauranteur claimed the comedian also behaved poorly at another of his venues.

While the pair have now made up after Corden apologised for his behaviour, and McNally rescinded the ban, the Loose Women ladies discussed the incident.

‘I’d have given that restaurant owner a medal,’ Nolan said.

‘I can’t stand rude behaviour. I don’t care who you are or if you are famous, if you are a rude person I can’t stand it and have absolutely no time for it.

‘I think he is really brave because James Corden is a massive star and most people would think they couldn’t ban him because he would bring bigger stars in and they have lots of money [to spend].’

Nolan said she respected the fact McNally ‘thought about his staff first and didn’t accept it and I think its brilliant’.

‘I think we should all not accept rude behaviour,’ she added.

Nolan then spoke about her disdain when people are rude to waiting staff, revealing that she has a friend who is ‘so rude and seems like she is looking for a row’ when they go out.

‘I can’t stand it. I won’t go out with her now,’ she stated.

Fellow Loose Women presenter Ruth Langsford recalled a time when she was working as a waitress at a hotel in Cornwall as a teenager, sharing that she had been treated particularly poorly by a couple.

Stepping in to help, her then-boss asked them to leave, an action Langsford is still thankful for today.

Janet Street-Porter put in her two cents too, making her co-hosts laugh as she revealed she had actually been to the restaurant that Corden ate at and had lunch with the owner, McNally.

‘He doesn’t suffer fools and I was really impressed he put that tweet out,’ she said.

In his original post, McNally, shared two examples of Corden’s alleged outbursts, labelling him a ‘tiny Cretin of a man’ and ‘the most abusive customer’ he’d seen at the restaurant in the 25 years since it opened.

However on Monday he gave another update on Instagram, writing that Corden had called him up and ‘apologized profusely’.

‘I strongly believe in second chances. So if James Corden lets me host his Late Late Show for 9 months, I’ll immediately rescind his ban from Balthazar. All is Forgiven. Xx.’

Metro.co.uk previously reached out to Corden’s representatives for comment.
