Cocaine smuggling gran dies alone in Portuguese prison
The Metro says a British grandmother who was convicted of smuggling £1million worth of cocaine on a cruise liner has died in her cell, according to reports.
Susan Clarke, 72, was serving an eight year sentence in Portugal and had been suffering from breast cancer.
She was arrested in 2018 alongside her husband Roger, 73, after police were tipped off that the couple had hidden 20lb of cocaine in the linings of four suitcases.
