    During an under-14s football match between Aberkenfig BGC and Trefelin BGC at Pandy Park in Bridgend, Wales, a fight broke out among several parents after a player was sent off. Both clubs have stated they are conducting internal investigations into the incident and have expressed disappointment over the behaviour exhibited.

    Aberkenfig BGC stated it is “extremely disappointed” by the behaviour observed during the altercation and is compiling a report for governing bodies. Trefelin BGC expressed that it does “not condone” the incident and is awaiting reports from league officials while conducting its own internal investigation. Both clubs are committed to addressing the matter appropriately to prevent a recurrence of such behaviour in the future.

    Both Aberkenfig BGC and Trefelin BGC are conducting investigations into the incident and are compiling reports for governing bodies. Aberkenfig BGC expressed its disappointment, stating that the behaviour depicted does not reflect the club’s values. Trefelin BGC has also condemned the actions and is awaiting reports from match and league officials.

    An under-14s football match in Wales descended into mayhem when parents began throwing punches at one another.

    Aberkenfig BGC and Trefelin BGC were playing at Pandy Park ground in Bridgend, Wales, this weekend when the fighting broke out.

    The fight was sparked between several men after a player had been sent off during the junior game.

    Parents were filmed throwing punches at each other as teenage players tried to intervene to pull them apart.

    Footage of the fight, filmed by one spectating mother, has since gone viral as both football clubs promised an investigation.

    In a statement, Aberkenfig BGC said: ‘We are aware of a video circulating on social media showing an altercation at one of our junior football fixtures on Saturday 21st February involving members associated with the opposition and Aberkenfig BGC.

    ‘As a club, we are extremely disappointed by what has occurred. The behaviour shown does not reflect the standards, values, or expectations we hold as a community-focused football club.’

    They added that the clip doesn’t show the ‘full context’ of the incident, and that it was compiling a full report.

    The club added: ‘However, we fully acknowledge that, regardless of the circumstances, the scenes portrayed place the club in a negative light and are not acceptable.

    A brawl broke out between parents at an under 14s football match - with children forced to separate adults fighting. The touchline fight was sparked between several men after a player had been sent off during the junior game. Furious parents were filmed throwing punches at each other as teenage players tried to intervene to pull them apart. Footage of the fight, filmed by one spectating mother, has since gone viral and attracted more than one million views online. Both clubs, Aberkenfig BGC and Trefelin BGC, have promised to investigate the fight which happened at the Pandy Park ground in Bridgend on Saturday. In a statement, Aberkenfig BGC said:

    ‘We would like to sincerely apologise to the match officials, our players, and the wider football community for any distress or reputational damage caused.’

    Trefelin BGC said: ‘Trefelin BGC certainly don’t condone this behaviour and is awaiting reports from the relevant match and league officials. We are also conducting an internal investigation.’

    Similar scenes unfolded in 2024 when a children’s Sunday League football game saw parents fight one another in the West Midlands.

    Coaches tried to intervene to calm the situation, but police intervention was needed after an on-pitch situation escalated between the adults.
