Charli XCX is engaged to The 1975 drummer George Daniel!
The 31-year-old announced the happy news on her social media this evening, with a cute montage alongside the caption: ‘charli xcx and george daniel f**king for life!!!’
One photo sees George caressing the Boom Clap hitmaker in a steamy pose, as she kicked her leg in the air and leant backwards.
Another saw the ring in its box beside two cups of coffee on a wooden bed-tray also holding a candle and some flowers.
The low-key but adorable set-up looks as though it could have been the Chocolate hitmaker’s romantic gesture for the proposal. Awrh!
A third picture showed Charli – real name Charlotte Emma Aitchison – reclining on her beau as he pulled an adoring (yet hilariously unflattering) pose, while holding her tight on his knee.

Commenting on the post Paris Hilton gave some serious love with a few delighted emoji, while Chicken Shop Date’s Amelia Dimoldenberg posted a ring and a celebratory, ‘yey!!!!!’
EastEnders’ Denise Welch – who is mother to The 1975’s lead singer Matty Healy – called the news the ‘best announcement ever’ and said she was ‘so happy’ for the pair.
Fans were buzzing at the announcement, as one commented: ‘Oh hell yeah. George better take your name. He’s George XCX now.’

The Unlock It singer confirmed their relationship last May by sharing photos of them von holiday together, but it is unknown if they were romantically involved privately for longer.
They worked together on Charli’s 2022 album, Crash, which made number 7 on the Billboard 200.
Before that, the pair first connected professionally in 2021 while working on the single Spinning, a collaborative one-off track with the dance-popstar, The 1975 and No Rome.
Most recently, Daniel was a co-producer and writer on the singer’s song with Sam Smith, In the City.
