Channel 4 star vomits as his girlfriend sleeps with another man
Channel 4 series Open House: The Great Sex Experiment has drawn heavy criticism for being ‘unnecessarily graphic’.
A man on Channel 4’s open relationship sex show vomited before agreeing to let his partner sleep with another woman in a ‘graphic’ new episode.
Open House: The Great Sex Experiment follows the lives of several different couples as they seek to push the boundaries of their relationships.
After Virgin Island left viewers ‘uncomfortable’ and ‘creeped out’, the latest series from the broadcaster is another one that will leave you itching for the remote.
The show explores what it claims is ‘one of society’s greatest taboos’ – monogamy.
The sexperiment follows monogamous couples who are sent on a sex retreat at a country house.
In tonight’s episode, Tom and Lauren decided they wanted to spice things up in the bedroom after having a chat with non monogamy expert Effy Blue.
On tonight’s episode, Lauren and Tom struggled as they experimented with their relationship
The couple were told to try and be ‘independent’ to see how it affects the dynamics between them.
However, after they returned to the room to prepare for the day ahead, Lauren could be seen telling Tom: ‘Don’t be nervous. You absolutely got this.’
‘It was my idea. It was my idea from the start. Yes, it’s throwing me and Tom in the deep end…,’ she told the camera.
‘But to be able to have him to have the confidence that we can go off, have our fun, come back to each other at the end of the night and it’s absolutely insane.’
At one point, Tom could be heard throwing up in the toilet
But, as the camera panned back to Tom in the room, he rushed to the toilet to vomit.
Lauren tried to calm him down, before he told her: ‘This is going to be horrible. I feel absolutely petrified and sick.’
While hugging him from behind, his partner insisted: ‘All that anyone can ask is that you just try, okay?’
Unpacking the footage on social media, many viewers were shocked by how graphic some of the scenes were.
@manunhappy77B said on X ‘I’m no prude, but this is unnecessarily graphic and getting away with it by being ‘educational’.

‘Grow up #Channel4 . It’s tiresome you continue to try and shock 42 years into your tenure. Full of exhibitionists.’
Racingfan21 complained: ‘Tom needs help and support he shouldn’t be anywhere near this show ffs #OpenHouse.’
Mace Windu agreed: ‘I feel bad for Tom. He needs to be in counselling instead of this place. #OpenHouse.’
As Joanne Kenny fumed: ‘This is so awkward to watch #OpenHouse.’
Open House: The Great Sex Experiment is available to watch on Channel 4.
