The UAE confirmed a drone strike on the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone, amid escalating tensions with Iran. A significant fire erupted following the attack, and authorities reported three Indian nationals injured. Residents have been advised to seek safety as the situation develops.
British pensioner Stephanie Thomson has been missing since January 29. Last seen at Camping les Vigères in Le Chalard, she vanished after a shopping trip. Extensive searches by the French Gendarmerie have yielded no results. Authorities continue their search for Mrs Thomson.
The cruise ship MV Hondius is stranded off Cape Verde due to a hantavirus outbreak, affecting around 150 onboard, including 23 British nationals. A British crew member, the ship’s doctor, is among the ill. Oceanwide Expeditions plans to evacuate patients before moving to the Canary Islands.
