A man died after entering a tiger enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park near Doncaster, suffering injuries from an attack. Emergency services responded around 1:35pm, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The park closed following the incident, with no injury to the tiger reported.
A 15-year-old boy was critically injured in a bear attack in Russia’s Altai region, with his smartphone exploding to scare the animal away during the incident.
US President Donald Trump has suggested Ukraine needs a new leader, stating President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has failed to negotiate an end to Russia’s invasion. His remarks were welcomed by Russian officials and coincide with Zelenskyy’s criticism of a US deal that facilitates Russian diesel exports amidst rising global fuel prices.
Russia’s record bombing of Ukraine leads much of the bloc’s major news sites this morning as Ukraine’s air force says it has shot down 76 Russian drones in 17 regions, whilst another 95 were lost from their radars or downed by electronic jamming defensive systems in overnights attacks.
