Former Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has been convicted of war crimes by the Kosovo war crimes tribunal and sentenced to 25 years in prison. He was found guilty of murder, torture, and illegal detention related to his leadership of the Kosovo Liberation Army during the 1990s conflict. Thaci denies all charges.
