The EU will launch an investigation into three of the biggest tech firms in the world over uncompetitive practices – Meta, Apple and Alphabet (which owns Google). 

The UN agency for Palestinian refugees, Unrwa, has said that Israel had definitively barred it from delivering aid to northern Gaza, where the threat of famine is highest. 

Ukraine claims to have targeted two landing ships, a communications centre, and other infrastructure utilised by Russia’s Black Sea fleet near annexed Crimea. The Ukrainian general staff announced the destruction of the Yamal and Azov ships.

The UK government is set to link cyber-attacks – in which personal details of millions of voters were accessed – to China. The attacks on the Electoral Commission took place in August 2021 but were only revealed last year. 

Four men have been charged in Russia for the deadly Moscow concert attack, where 137 people were killed. Three men were marched into a Moscow court while the fourth was in a wheelchair. All were charged with committing an act of terrorism.
