EU SANCTIONS UPDATE
This morning, the European Union extends sanctions targeting Russia, reinforcing economic measures in response to ongoing geopolitical tensions.

The US government has condemned the European Commission’s €890 million fine against Google for violating the Digital Markets Act, asserting it jeopardises the EU-US trade deal. Washington claims the sanction targets American firms unfairly and warns of escalating trade tensions with Europe.
Montenegro’s ambassador to the EU affirmed the nation’s support for new accession safeguards, contingent on objective criteria that avoid second-class membership status. Emphasising Montenegro’s advanced position in the enlargement process, he warned that changes to the existing framework must not undermine its extensive accession efforts.
