More than 19,000 trespassing incidents on UK train tracks last year resulted in 19 fatalities and 85 serious injuries, causing one million minutes of delays. National Rail reports a cost of approximately £67 million, coinciding with the launch of the ‘No Second Chances’ safety campaign.

Tuesday’s front pages mostly cover the findings from the inquiry into the contaminated blood scandal – the biggest treatment disaster in NHS history. The ICC has suggested war crimes and crimes against humanity – including using starvation of civilians as a method of warfare.
