Daniel Thomas, known as Danny Tommo, appeared via video link at Margate Magistrates’ Court, facing charges related to his alleged entry into a restricted zone at a migrant processing centre in Dover. He pleaded guilty to this charge and is set for a case management hearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 4 November.
A Maidstone resident, Karen Richardson, discovered a rat infestation in her home after finding large holes in loaves of bread. Authorities in Spain and Portugal are warning that the risk of wildfires remains extremely high, as residents brace for further scorching temperatures this week. Thousands of hecters of land were destroyed in central Portugal over the weekend, while water-bomber planes were deployed to battle a large blaze threatening homes in southern Spain.
