Five men were arrested near RAF Fairford on suspicion of explosives offences after a suspected terror plot was intercepted. The suspects allegedly called police prior to their arrest, prompting an investigation into whether they were acting as proxies for Iran. No explosive devices were found, but petrol was recovered.

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino admits the club are keen on making at least two further signings in the summer transfer window.
The Argentine’s opening summer at Stamford Bridge has been chaotic, with close to £300m of outgoings and £300m of incomings.
However, despite spending around £900m in the last three transfer windows, Chelsea’s squad looks light in attacking areas.
Christopher Nkunku’s injury means Nicolas Jackson is the only fit recognised centre forward in the squad.
Chelsea have struggled for goals in their opening two Premier League fixtures, and Pochettino admits he wants another offensive player.
But the Argentine also says he wants another goalkeeper to compete with Roberto Sanchez following his arrival from Brighton.

‘We need at least one goalkeeper,’ said Pochettino.‘We have good young goalkeepers, but they need time. And then we need one offensive player with the right profile.’
