A 14-year-old boy in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, was sentenced to a one-year referral order after pleading guilty to grievous bodily harm for stabbing a girl, also 14, during a shop attack on March 15. The incident followed months of obsessive behaviour after she rejected his advances.

Axel Rudakubana, serving a life sentence for multiple murders, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court following an alleged attack on a prison officer at Belmarsh prison.
