Manchester City have agreed a £77million fee with RB Leipzig to sign Josko Gvardiol.
The Croatia defender has emerged as one of the most promising centre-backs in world football following his rapid development with Leipzig.
He’s played 87 times for the Bundesliga club since signing from Dynamo Zagreb in 2021.
Two of those appearances came against City in last season’s Champions League, where Leipzig were beaten 8-1 on aggregate.

But he’s keen to add a new centre-back partner for Ruben Dias, with John Stones likely to step into midfield.
The Croatian is expected in the north-west later this week to undergo a medical and he’ll become one of City’s most expensive players of all-time.
Aymeric Laporte could now leave the club, with interest from Tottenham and Atletico Madrid in the Spaniard.
