India has signed a $100bn (£77.8bn) free trade agreement (FTA) with a group of four non-EU European countries. The EFTA is made up of Norway, Switzerland, Iceland and Liechtenstein.

Portugal’s centre-right party – Democratic Alliance – has claimed a narrow victory but has little chance of forming a majority government. Leader Luis Montenegro told supporters that the Portuguese had voted through change.
