Several newspapers lead with the latest from Prince Harry’s ongoing charity row. The Charity Commission has said it will launch a probe into Harry’s charity Sentebale following claims made by its head, Sophie Chandauka. 

The prince, who started the charity more than 20 years ago, has said he hopes the watchdog will “unveil the truth” after the head accused the prince of bullying and harassment, amongst other claims about the charity itself.

Several newspaper headlines report on Virginia Giuffre, the woman who accused Jeffery Epstein of sex trafficking her to Prince Andrew when she was a teenager. Giuffre said via her Instagram that she is in hospital following a serious car accident and only has four days to live. Her spokesperson said she is receiving medical care after a “serious accident” whilst Western Australia police and ambulance services said their records show a “minor crash” between a bus and a car on 24 March, but that no injuries had been reported as a result. 

In 2022, Ms Giuffre reached an out-of-court settlement with the Duke of York over a civil sexual abuse claim filed in the US. She accused Prince Andrew of allegedly sexually assaulting her when she was 17 years old. Ms Guiffre had claimed the abuse took place while she was travelling with Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted financier and Andrew’s former friend.

Prince Harry has been accused of bullying and harassment by the chairperson of the charity Sentebale, which Harry co-founded. Dr Sophie Chandauka gave an interview over the weekend where she said since Harry’s Netflix deal interfered with a planned Sentebale fundraiser and an incident with Harry’s wife Meghan became a source of friction. Chandauka says Harry – and the board who all resigned – are trying to force her out.

The global stock markets have reacted to Trump’s comments over the weekend as he is set to announce a raft of new tariffs that will affect every country. Asian markets have fallen, and European markets opened down.


Expect much of this week’s news to be dominated by the US President as his new tariffs are set to hit this Wednesday, he’s announced he might consider a third term as president (despite US law only allowing for two) and he’s told Russian president Putin he has to agree to a ceasefire in a month or face more tariffs.

King Charles in hospital – Much of Friday’s headlines in the UK are reporting on the latest update in King Charles’s health. The 76-year-old has been admitted to the hospital due to side effects from his treatment. 

There are ongoing discussions over Wednesday’s Spring Statement, with disability payments and potential future tax raids being two of the most popular talking points. 

On the international front, there’s more coverage of Donald Trump and his administration as they continue to push to take over Greenland and the Germany’s reaction to the latest tariff announcements. 

The prime minister delivered a speech yesterday, following the guilty plea of the Southport killer, saying he will introduce tougher measures for people trying to buy knives online. It was revealed Axel Rudakubana bought the knife he used to murder three young girls on online retail giant Amazon, despite being only 17.

Kyle Clifford has admitted to murdering his ex-girlfriend and her sister with a crossbow and their mother with a knife in an attack at the family home. Carol Hunt, 61, was stabbed to death and Hannah Hunt, 28, and Louise Hunt, 25, suffered fatal crossbow bolt injuries in Bushey, near Watford, on 9 July. Clifford, 26, from north London, changed his plea to the murders during an appearance via video link at Cambridge Crown Court.

The owner of the Sun newspaper has offered a “full and unequivocal apology” to Prince Harry for “serious intrusion” into his private life and agrees to pay him substantial damages. It settles a long-running legal battle between the prince and the newspaper group, moments before it was due to reach the High Court.
