Liam Smith’s family shouted ‘yes’ and ‘thank you so much’ before sobbing and hugging as the jury found both defendants guilty of murder on Wednesday.

‘We’re doing this, and all the people who have arrived today, because we care very much about our heritage, our history and the Crooked House.’

Emergency services were called to the scene but the boy was pronounced dead.
