Cassie begs for help as she faces Evelyn’s wrath in Coronation Street spoiler video

Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) is set to find herself in hot water with Abi Webster (Sally Carman) in upcoming Coronation Street scenes when she is found with her hands in the petty cash.

A new spoiler video shows the tense moment where Cassie is caught red handed rummaging through the tin, much to the disappointment of employer Abi.

Cassie is quick to say that he can explain, but Abi doesn’t want to hear excuses, demanding that she put the money back and close the tin.

It is then that Abi reveals that she suspected Cassie may try something, leaving Cassie wondering whether her sentiments surrounding second chances were real.

Of course, having been in Cassie’s shoes in the past, Abi knew exactly what she needed the money for, and admitted that she knew Dean, the dealer who had been hounding Cassie for money.

Though Cassie tried to feign innocence, Abi demanded that she tell the truth, detailing her past run-ins with the dealer.

As Cassie continued to deny that she had been scoring again, she and Abi were interrupted by the arrival of Tyrone and Evelyn (Alan Halsall and Maureen Lipman), who were eager to see how she was getting on.

With tensions running high, Cassie begged Abi not to say anything, fearing the wrath of Evelyn if she learnt what her daughter had been up to.

Thankfully, neither Tyrone nor Evelyn picked up on the tension, as Tyrone informed Evelyn that Cassie had been working hard.

As Evelyn asked Abi if Cassie had been behaving herself, the pair shared a knowing look.

Will Abi keep Cassie’s secret, or will she reveal her attempted theft and leave Cassie at the mercy of Evelyn?
