Cara Delevingne has come under fire for being ‘rude’ before being filmed for a regular red carpet segment at the Oscars 2023.
The supermodel, who was reportedly paid more than $200,000 (£165,000) to wear a dramatic Bulgari dress, was among the stars, including Paul Mescal and Jamie Lee Curtis, at the annual bash.
Before Everything Everywhere All At Once swept the awards and stole the night, the 30-year-old was approached by E! News for their Glambot feature, which sees A-Listers strike a pose for a short clip designed to show off their outfit.
But as the Suicide Squad actress was waiting in the wings and given instructions by the E! team, eagle-eyed fans spotted she looked a tad annoyed and rolled her eyes.
Cara did go on to be captured by filmmaker Cole Walliser, and opted for a swirl to showcase her red frock, but her facial expression beforehand didn’t go unnoticed.
Many Instagram accounts commented on the post and remarked she had an ‘attitude’, with one branding it ‘awful.’
‘Tell me you don’t want to do this, without telling me you don’t want to do this,’ a social media user remarked.
Another asked: ‘Is it me, or did she come across as rude,’ while a fourth penned: ‘It was amazing but her vibe was not.’
However, others jumped to Cara’s defense, with one commenting: ‘People saying she has attitude or she didn’t want to do it. I don’t think that is the case I think she is a naturally awkward, quirky person. Regardless she smashed this 😍 she defo knows her job!’

One commentator urged fans to not ‘make assumptions’ (Picture: Instagram)
‘She wasn’t rude at all. Whoever she was having to listen to before reaching this lovely man(look at their past encounters) she was annoyed with and she suffers from anxiety. Before you make assumptions do your research. Much love!’ another pointed out.
It comes after Cara opened up about checking into rehab after a series of paparazzi photos emerged of her looking disheveled and appearing erratic on several occasions following a trip to Burning Man.
Speaking to Vogue, she said of the pictures: ‘It’s heartbreaking because I thought I was having fun, but at some point it was like, Okay, I don’t look well. You know, sometimes you need a reality check, so in a way those pictures were something to be grateful for.’

Cara said she was now on the sobriety path away from substances and raised the friends who rallied round her when the paparazzi photos were published.

‘They ride for me and I love my friends so much, but it felt like a lot of the time, they were shallow relationships only because I wasn’t able to be honest about the things I was going through,’ she added.
