A Canadian stand-up comedian drove 150 miles to Dudley to get revenge on a man he says has trolled him for 10 years.
Bobby Mair, who lives in the UK, posted a video on X, formerly Twitter, which shows him on his way from London to confront the culprit.
He explained at a gig in Birmingham 10 years ago someone in the audience shouted ‘chicken wire’ at him.
‘I thought that was the end of it’, he added. ‘But every time I posted on my Facebook page for the last 10 years this guy comments “chicken wire, chicken wire”.
‘But he made a mistake, he used his real name, I found him on LinkedIn, and I know where he works so I am driving to 150 miles to Dudley.’
The man in question works in a mobile phone shop in the Merry Hill Centre, just outside Dudley.
In the footage, Bobby is seen striding into the shop, shouting ‘chicken wire’ a number of times, adding: ‘You trolled me for 10 years but I win. I win. You lose.’

The man, who is sitting down, laughs, as do some of the customers and shop staff.
The video – entitled ‘Revenge is best served cold 10 years later’ – has been viewed more than 1.7 million times, with scores of people leaving comments, mostly in support of the comedian.
Martin Clabon wrote: ‘This is the kind of pettiness I can really get behind.’
Many, however, wondered what exactly the ‘troll’ meant by saying ‘chicken wire’ – a mystery that appears yet to be solved.

Meanwhile, according to user, Jay Dimmock, the chicken wire man has a rather less antagonistic side to him.
Jay posted: ‘No way. This is the guy I’ve got my phones off for year. [He’s] actually amazing at his job and probably the most helpful guy in the shop.’
Bobby has appeared on a number of TV panel shows including Russell Howard’s Good News, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Sam Delaney’s News Thing and 8 Out of 10 Cats.
