Canada stabbings Saskatchewan: One suspect found dead, police hunt continues for brother

Damien Sanderson, 31, has been found dead with injuries that did not appear self-inflicted.

Damien and his brother Myles, 30, were being hunted by Canadian police following a mass stabbing attack that left 10 people dead and 18 injured in Saskatchewan.

Damien was found at the James Smith Cree Nation – the indigenous community where most of the victims lived.

His brother is still at large and considered dangerous.

No further details on Damien’s death have been revealed nor has a motive been established. Both were charged with murder despite not being arrested.

The stabbing spree has rocked Canada, the usually peaceful Saskatchewan province has 13 separate crime scenes.

On Monday Canadian police confirmed Damien Sanderson’s body had been found “in a heavily grassed area in proximity to a house that was being examined.”

The police are continuing their hunt for his brother Myles, who police say may have sustained injuries. Police refused to say if he was responsible for his brother’s death.
