Bukayo Saka labelled one of his Arsenal team-mates as ‘incredible’ and says he will keep ‘secrets’ to himself after Sunday’s 4-1 win over Crystal Palace.
Saka massively impressed in the clash at the Emirates with two goals and an assist as the Gunners opened up an eight-point lead at the top of the Premier League.
The 21-year-old has become the first Premier League player to reach double figures in goals and assists this season in what has been a tremendous campaign.
He is only the second Englishman to do so for the Gunners after Theo Walcott in 2012-13.
Saka also provided his 25th Premier League assist – aged 21 years and 195 days – with only Cesc Fabregas, Wayne Rooney and Trent Alexander-Arnold reaching that landmark at a younger age in the competition.
But despite his dominant performance, Saka was quick to shine a light on two of his Arsenal team-mates as he spoke to Premier League Productions at full-time.
‘We’re really happy,’ Saka said. ‘We’ve won five games in a row now which is very difficult to do in this league.
‘We’ve built some good momentum, winning games, playing really well.
‘Ben White was incredible today, he’s been incredible this season, and we’re building a great partnership – me, him and Martin [Odegaard] on that right side.
‘Of course, I’m not going to tell you the secrets, what we work on in the training ground, but I’m enjoying playing with them.’
Sunday’s victory over Palace saw Arsenal earn their 22nd Premier League win of the season, as many as they managed in the whole of the 2021-22 campaign when they finished fifth after a late collapse handed fourth spot to Tottenham.
Mikel Arteta’s side will continue their quest to lift their first Premier League trophy since 2004 after the international break when they travel to Leeds on April 1.
