Brooke Shields called out her friend Michael Jackson over his untrue claims they were secretly in a relationship.
The Friends actress, 57, met the late Thriller singer when she was a child star, aged 13, and instantly became friends.
The duo would often be each other’s plus ones at glitzy Hollywood parties and premieres during the 80s and 90s.
During a 1993 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Jackson claimed that he was dating the Law & Order star, while she was in a romance with Dean Cain.
Brooke opened up about her response to Jackson’s false revelation, saying that she branded the Billie Jean musician ‘pathetic.’
She explained: ‘I called him up and I think I said, “This is kind of pathetic that you need to do this. I am having a shot at normal life – you cannot drag me into crazy town”.’

Asked if there ever had been romantic feelings between them, she told the Sunday Times: ‘No! There was one moment when we were in the car and the cameras were there and he grabbed me to kiss me, and I said, “No! Stop! We are just friends and you need me as a friend.”
‘I remember the early days when other actresses were after him and he was kind of cute, before the shift. But it never ever crossed my mind.’
Jackson faced multiple accusations of child sex abuse before his death in 2009 and was tried and acquitted of child sexual abuse and several other charges in 2005.

Speaking about the accusations, Brooke said: ‘I … I don’t know how to think about it. Because it’s so hard to believe.
‘I wish I knew the truth. Then I could figure out how to structure the narrative in my head. But I’m as shocked as I think the world is.’

Brooke will be fronting a new documentary about her life, titled Pretty Baby, including posing nude for Playboy aged just 10 and playing a prostitute in a film aged just 11.
Opening up about her controversial mother, Teri Shields, and her decision to allow her daughter to participate in ‘pornography’, she told the Sunday Times: ‘I don’t know why she thought it was all right. I don’t know.’
