Britney Spears has shared a heartbreaking revelation as to what it was like raising her sons.
The star shares Sean, 18, and Jayden, 17, with ex Kevin Federline, becoming a mum when she was 24 and at the height of her fame.
In recent years she and her teenagers have become estranged from one another; they did not attend her wedding to Sam Asghari and reportedly declined to meet her to say goodbye before moving to Hawaii with their father.
Britney was often seen with her kids when they were younger and posted regularly about their lives on social media when she was under the conservatorship.
Now the star has shared an old photograph of herself cuddling one of her boys and shared a heartbreaking memory.
In the photo, Britney cradles her son who looks to be about three or four years old, sitting outdoors surrounded by other kids of a similar age, and lunch boxes and backpacks.

She revealed she ‘didn’t get to see my kids as much as I wanted to so I would go to their school and have lunch with them.
‘He just wanted me to hold him though.’

Earlier this year it was reported that Kevin planned to move to Hawaii with his family and was prepared to take Britney to court to allow it to happen.
However Britney gave permission for the teenagers to move to the island state, where Kevin’s wife Victoria is starting a new job at a university.
In 2022 the star admitted to crying over her dwindling relationship with her children, saying they ‘don’t need me anymore.’
‘I’ve cried oceans for my boys and I’m not lying!’
She went on to share her hopes that ‘one day I can show recent pics of us but in the meantime, I respect their wishes.’
