Britney Spears has been fined for driving without a licence and proof of insurance following a traffic stop by police last month.
The 41-year-old popstar’s car was pulled over by officers of the California Highway Patrol on September 10 and she was issued a violation for not having a valid driving licence in her possession.
Nor was Britney able to provide an officer with proof of insurance.
Britney’s attorney Mathew Rosengart said in response: ‘Britney at all times had a licence and insurance.’
He added to Page Six: ‘This is the functional equivalent of a parking ticket.’
The outlet obtained court documents outlining the superstar singer’s offence and the Toxic crooner was fined $1,140 (£927) for the two minor infractions.

Britney won’t have to make a court appearance and can pay the fine online.
It’s been a whirlwind year for the mum-of-two, who confirmed her split from husband Sam Asghari in August.
Sam, 29, filed for divorce over summer, following reports that he had accused the chart-topper on him.

More recently, the A-lister was visited by police for a welfare check after posting a video of herself dancing with fake knives online.
According to TMZ, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department got calls from worried fans and dispatched a team to perform a welfare check.

A law enforcement insider told the outlet that officers were able to speak to the mum-of-two and determined that she was totally fine.
This isn’t the first time that officers have been called to her property for a check, as they were asked to make a similar trip in January of this year.
Britney’s loyal fans were left baffled when she deleted her Instagram page without any warning, with some fearing the worst and approaching enforcement officials for help.
Taking to Twitter at the time, the Baby One More Time musician shared a lengthy statement, explaining that her ‘privacy was invaded’ by the move.
