A British mum-of-three has allegedly been stabbed to death by her ex-partner at her home in Spain.

Victoria Hart’s 11-year-old son reportedly fled to call for help after his mum was attacked, according to local reports.

The youngster, who has two twin sisters aged seven, is said to have called his grandmother and told her: ‘My dad just killed my mum.’

A man, said to be her ex-partner, was arrested on suspicion of murder after he allegedly handed himself in at the local prison, telling staff: ‘Arrest me, I’ve done something very bad.’

The alleged knife attack took place at a residential estate in Alhuarin el Grande, a 50-minute drive inland from Marbella, on Saturday.

Emergency services were alerted around 11.30am, according to Spanish newspaper SUR, after Victoria’s neighbours reportedly heard her cries.

Police officers already found the mum, 33, dead when they arrived.

A kitchen knife was recovered from the scene and seized by investigators.

According to local paper Malaga Hoy, the suspect then handed himself in at the nearby Alhaurín de la Torre Prison.

The outlet reports he allegedly told staff: ‘Arrest me, I’ve done something very bad’.

He also reportedly told prison workers three children were inside the house where the murder took place, adding ‘I lost my mind’.

Victoria’s friends labelled him an ‘animal’ as tributes for the mum poured in online.

One post read: ‘RIP Victoria Hart. This is devastating news.

‘We need to stand up against domestic violence in this country and work against those who are protecting these animals.

‘My prayers are with the family at this terrible time.’

Another friend, Elaine Mawer, added in a message to a relative of Victoria’s, believed to be her mum, said: ‘I am heartbroken. This should never have happened.

‘Them poor children. Deepest condolences to Sue Hart and all the family. Victoria will be very sadly missed.’

Joanne Wilson wrote: ‘There’s no words in this world that could describe a beautiful person, a great mother, a great friend. Victoria Hart you will be missed.

‘My heart is broken and I still can’t believe it. RIP my angel. I will miss you more than anyone in this world would think.

‘Sending my love to the kids’ mum, Sue and Gemma and all your family.

‘There’s not many people as perfect as Victoria Hart.’

Victoria is thought to have moved to Spain from the West Midlands, running her own business as a hairdresser and beautician.

Her estranged husband, who was from Alhaurin el Grande, reportedly had a restraining order preventing him from approaching her or going to the family home.

The ex-partner, who is expected to appear in court tomorrow, also owned a chicken rotisserie in the town of nearly 28,000 people.

Alhaurin el Grande Town Council said in a statement: ‘The Town Council of Alhaurin el Grande expresses its deepest sorrow at the murder of a woman in her thirties, of British nationality, which took place in our municipality this morning.

‘The town council would like to convey our deepest condolences and support to the victim’s family and friends, as well as our absolute rejection and condemnation of this act of gender-based violence, a social scourge that seriously violates human rights and which we must eradicate with the involvement of the whole of society.

‘The Mayor of Alhaurin el Grande, Anthony Bermudez, on behalf of the Town Council, has declared Monday 26 January 2026 an official day of mourning as a sign of respect and solidarity.’

A spokesman for the Civil Guard in Malaga said: ‘The Civil Guard is investigating the death of a woman in Alhaurin el Grande.

‘Her ex-partner has been arrested as the alleged killer.’

The Foreign Office yesterday told The Sun: ‘We have not been approached for consular assistance, but our staff stand ready to support British Nationals overseas 24/7.’
