Brit Awards confirm 2025 performers with newly solo star returning to the stage
The Brit Awards is one of the biggest nights of the year for celebrities from wild outfits to memorable speeches to big performances.
Finally, after huge speculation, organisers have revealed the first performers who will take to the stage from their stunning lineup of nominees.
This includes the first solo Brit Award performance from Little Mix legend Jade Thirlwall after her huge debut solo success.
Last year saw Raye, Dua Lipa and none other than Kylie Minogue perform with viewers treated to a medley of her biggest songs from the Padam Padam legend.
This year, both Raye and Dua are nominated again and will head to London’s O2 Arena on March 1 for a night of teary speeches and stellar performances.
However, neither singer is on the lineup for 2025 (so far), instead, music lovers will be treated to a performance from pop superstar Jade.
It wouldn’t be the Brits without a pop girlie to perform a show-stopping number and this will be the first time Jade takes to the stage without her bandmates.
Little Mix have performed at the show across numerous years and won best group as recently as 2021.
Now the group is on hiatus and Jade’s debut solo record Angel of My Dreams has been nominated for song of the year as well as a pop act nod.
‘I’ve honestly manifested every day since the release of Angel Of My Dreams to perform at the BRIT Awards,’ she said.
Jade confessed she even cried when she found out, adding: ‘I can’t wait to bring a huge, chaotic pop moment to the BRITs stage!’
The homegrown pop queen will be joined by international superstar Teddy Swims on the incredible lineup.
‘I’m so excited to be performing at the BRITs! What an honour, I love you so much,’ the Lose Control hitmaker said.
He joins The Last Dinner Party, Shaboozey and this year’s rising star winner Myles Smith on the announced lineup.
Myles said: ‘Performing at the BRITs is such an incredible honour, and it feels surreal to even say it out loud. To think I was sitting at home watching it last year, and now I’m performing the very next year… it’s just insane. Grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to step onto that stage.’
‘Grateful’ was also how A Bar Song (Tipsy) hitmaker Shaboozey was feeling as he said he was ‘beyond humbled to not only be nominated for a BRIT Award but to take the stage.’
He continued: ‘This past year has been huge for me with my records getting love from all over the world and now I can celebrate with my friends and fans in London.’
Last year’s rising star winners The Last Dinner Party added that they were ‘so excited’ to return to the Brits this year after seeing the ‘scale and spectacle’ in 2024.
Charli XCX and The Beatles as one of the many big names who have landed nominations at the prestigious awards show.
Fans had expected a performance from Charli given the fact she is leading the nominations with five nods, including the big awards like song, artist and album.
The Apple hitmaker is a favourite this awards season with seven nominations from the Grammys, where she is set to perform this weekend.
While she might not be on stage to belt out her hit tracks, it’s likely the star will appear to pick up at least a few awards for cultural phenomenon Brat.
Charli has had an undeniably busy few months, which included Sweat Tour performances with Troye Sivan and filming a new movie.
Later this year, she will headline Barcelona’s Primavera Sound Festival along with Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter in a pop dream.
2025 will also see her tour around the US as well as headlining Manchester’s Parklife — alongside 50 Cent — and brand new London festival Lido.
As for the Brit Awards, Charli is followed closely by Dua Lipa, Ezra Collective and The Last Dinner Party who have four nominations each.
A surprise nod came for The Beatles for the first time since 1982 thanks to their song Now and Then which features vocals from John Lennon.
While all eyes are on the nominees, viewers will see another familiar face with Jack Whitehall returning to the stage this year.
This will be the fifth time he has hosted the music awards show but requested that fans ‘don’t call it a comeback’.
The Brit Awards will be broadcast on March 1 on ITV and ITVX.
