Brighton have set an increased asking price of £100million for Chelsea and Manchester United target Moises Caicedo.
The Ecuador international is expected to leave the club this summer, with the Seagulls publicly announcing that he’s available for transfer.
Brighton rejected two bids of around £70m from Arsenal for Caicedo in January and fees in the summer window are traditionally higher.
It was expected that Brighton would demand a fee of around £80m for Caicedo, with United and Chelsea having already made tentative contact with the Seagulls.
But the Athletic say Brighton want £100m and feel well within their rights to demand such a figure given Arsenal will pay £105m for Declan Rice.
United are in talks with Chelsea over a move for Mason Mount and there are doubts as to whether the Red Devils could afford both the England international and Caicedo.

Should Chelsea accept a £55m deal for Mount, their path will be cleared to sign Caicedo.
But, having spent £107m on Enzo Fernandez in January, the Blues face spending another £100m on a midfielder to sign Caicedo.
Despite offloading the likes of Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly and Hakim Ziyech, Chelsea continue an overhaul of their squad.
That’s due to their £600m spending over the last two windows and Mauricio Pochettino wants to trim his squad before adding to it.
Personal terms with Caicedo are not expected to be a problem for either United or Chelsea but neither club would be prepared to pay £100m.
