Diogo Jota dies in car crash as Liverpool fans and football world mourns

HEARTBREAK AS DIOGO JOTA KILLED IN CAR CRASH WITH BROTHER AT AGE 28

Liverpool star Diogo Jota, 28, has died in a car crash.

According Marca, Liverpool player Diogo Jota and his brother have sadly passed away in a car accident this morning in the city of Zamora.

Authorities confirm that it appears a burst tyre caused the car to crash and then burst into flames.

Jota had only recently won the Nations League with Portugal and was on a well-earned break from a busy club season with Liverpool, where they won the Premier League.

His death comes just weeks after his wedding. He leaves behind his wife and three young children.

His brother was also a footballer.

The Premier League, Liverpool FC, Wolves and former and current teammates have yet to respond.

It’s a sad day for Portuguese and English football and all those who love the game.

This is a breaking news story.
