    B&Q, Homebase, Wickes, and ScrewFix opening times for Early May bank holiday Monday 2023

    The first of three May bank holidays is almost upon us, and the perfect chance to catch up on all those annoying DIY jobs around the house.

    With the Early May bank holiday falling on Monday, May 1, it’s also a great time to get gardening and make your plot or window boxes look lovely.

    But with some shops changing their opening times over bank holidays, when can you pop to B&Q, Homebase, Wickes and Screwfix?

    Here’s what you need to know.

    When is B&Q open over the Early May bank holiday?

    B&Q stores will be open as normal over the Early May bank holiday.

    This should be from 7am or 8am until 8pm.

    It’s best to check your local store’s opening times online, using B&Q’s Store Finder.

    When is Homebase open over the Early May bank holiday?

    Homebase says its stores will be open between 8am and 7pm on the Early May bank holiday.

    You can find your nearest shop using the Homebase Store Locator.

    When is Wickes open over the Early May bank holiday?

    Wickes says its stores will be open as usual.

    This means you’ll be able to visit and pick up supplies from 7am until 8pm.

    You can also find your nearest Wickes using the Wickes Store Locator.

    When is Screwfix open over the Early May bank holiday?

    On the bank holiday, Screwfix stores in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland will be open from 7am until 8pm.

    However, the following bank holiday restrictions apply:

    Nottingham Bullwell: 8am – 6pm

    Brentford: 9am-4pm

    Clitheroe Barrow: 9am-4pm

    North Walsham: 9am-4pm

    Ringwood: 10am-4pm

    Ilford: 10am-4pm

    Hornchurch: 10am-4pm

    You can also use the Screwfix Store Finder to check where your nearest Screwfix is, and its opening times throughout the year.
