Boris Johnson is facing a wave of Tory resignations as the under-fire Prime Minister faces a battle for survival after two of his Tory heavyweights sensationally quit last night.
Children’s minister Will Quince has become the latest to quit over Johnson’s behaviour, hot on the heels of Laura Trott, the MP for Sevenoaks in Kent, this morning.
The MP for Colchester tweeted: “With great sadness and regret, I have this morning tendered my resignation to the Prime Minister after I accepted and repeated assurances on Monday to the media which have now been found to be inaccurate.”
